Famous Photographers - Nigel Dennis

This is without doubt one of my personal favourites.

Photographing wild animals as those in Nigel's portfolio, is a difficult field to master even while the animals are in captivity. The amazing thing about Nigel's wildlife images is the fact that they were all made in the wild! These animals were photographed in their natural habitat, in the bush of Africa. It is no small wonder why Nigel's stock images have been sought after by the likes of international publishers, including: National Geographic, Time and Barnes and Noble.

Nigel's work with animal and nature photography is definitely at the top of the photographic world.

Famous Photographer - Mark Plonsky

His day job is a professor. Mark Plonsky became interested in imaging in 1989 when he began using a computer/projector to present my lectures. He started scanning images and learned my way around the digital darkroom. Mark took an interest in photography in 2000.

He used the Canon Powershot G1 (3 megapixel) camera in 2001 & 2002 and the Canon Powershot G3 (4 megapixel) in 2003. Currently uses a dSLR - the Canon Digital Rebel (6 megapixel).

If there is any theme to his work, it's that he photographs living things. He especially enjoy macros because they show what we ordinarily don't see.

Favourite Photographers - Steve Bloom

Steve Bloomis a photographic artist who specializes in evocative images of the natural world. Born in South Africa, he first used the camera to document life there during the seventies. He moved to England in 1977, where he worked in the graphic arts industry for many years. In the early nineties, during a visit to South Africa, his interest in wildlife photography emerged, and within a short time he had swapped his established career for the precarious life of a wildlife photographer. Such a move demands an added measure of uncompromising passion and commitment.
